A snapshot of the Miniature
Procedure:
Many people have asked how I make these miniature wildlife pieces. My
inspiration
comes from
the beauty that God has created all around us. We take lots of photos
and I have
many books to check for correct details.
I freeform the parts that make up a piece using a Polymer Clay (Cernit).
Then most of
the parts of the piece are cast in resin (my son does the mold making
and casting).
If there are parts that are too
small to be
cast, I freeform these with the clay.
When I receive the cast parts, I paint them using acrylic paint and assemble the
piece.
The piece is
sealed in a matte sealer and signed and dated.
